We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Version 4.0 of the e-Classifieds Free Edition. This new version introduces a number of features previously not seen on our free version, such as a new layout that includes a sophisticated navigation bar system complete with rollover "hover" effects and popup tooltips to explain what each feature does, a new guide bar to indicate where the user is located within the system, a new popup help system, a new "About" window, a nicer layout for the front page categories, and much improved layouts for the various action pages, such as posting ads, deleting ads, etc.
For non-profit organizations, educational institutions, or others who cannot afford our commercial versions, we hope that you will find the Free Edition to be a useful method for providing classified ads on your web site. We feel that this is the finest free classified ads program available.
The e-Classifieds Free Edition allows you to quickly set up your own classifieds section using easily configurable categories and other variables. In fact, just one program file controls all operations. The only other files to install are a counter file and a few graphics files. All pages are generated dynamically using your settings, so there is no need to manually edit any HTML files. Your users will be able to post and delete their own ads. The administrator can delete any ad posted by any user and can even delete entire categories at a time. In addition, the Free Edition shares the pleasing appearance and easy-to-use interface of our commercial versions.
The Free Edition is available in eleven different languages. Please note, however, that many of the non-English versions were translated from an older version of the software, so they may not share the interface or some of the features that you see in the demo version on our web site. We hope that this will gradually change as the new version is translated into various languages. The Free Edition is available in English, Croatian, French, German, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.
